Responsible for writing original advertising copy for direct marketing house file promotions, new client promotions, product and package inserts and collateral material for various collectible product lines promoted through print advertising.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Please list the primary duties of the position and the estimated % of time to be spent on these duties using increments of 10% or greater.)
70% - Write copy for all direct mail house file promotions, new client acquisition space ads, product inserts, and collateral material. Write non-sell, editorial copy for customer communications and special projects as needed, .i.e, occasional internet ad copy needs. Adapt existing copy, rewrite, revise, update, and stay on top of product changes that necessitate revisions. Interface with colleagues in development and marketing to acquire needed product information and updates. Assist in creating back-end rollout promotions as needed.
10% - Concept and plan strategies and tactics for individual promotions and creative tests in concert with co-workers and managers.
10% - Maintain schedule and coordinate and track jobs to completion in Filemaker system; obtain necessary approvals from marketing and licensing; proof copy for accuracy; pitch in for colleagues on PTO and for the Collectibles team if needed.
10% - Research background information on products, our customer, the marketplace, our competition and testing history. Help develop and articulate product concepts, as well as product titles, verses, and sentiments.
