eCommerce Business Analyst (Hammacher Schlemmer)

The Ecommerce Business Analyst will work as an ecommerce liaison with IT to support the project stream and code changes on website.  This will include project prioritization, building out project requirements, business testing for IT development, coordinating code deployments and monitoring site health and performance related to releases.  

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Please list the primary duties of the position and the estimated % of time to be spent on these duties using increments of 10% or greater.)

Project Scoping and Prioritization:

  • Driven by site intelligence (analytics, customer feedback, usability feedback, A/B testing results and industry standards), prioritize project work to be coordinated with IT
  • Develop detailed scoping of project requirements (in JIRA ticket System)

Business User Acceptance Testing:

  • Manages the business side testing and feedback loop during testing and development.
  • Develop and execute customer experience and regression test cases for development projects.
  • Execute cross browser and cross device testing pre and post releases.
  • Manage any defect feedback (and re-testing) (in JIRA ticket System) to ensure release ready.

Manage Site Releases:

  • Coordinate release schedule with IT department
  • Assist in during deployment business validation (occasional evenings)
  • Monitor post release site performance (analytics and site function and feedback) to ensure clean releases
  • Measure the impact of releases on site performance
  • Develop a communication stream and tracking mechanism for releases


  • Support site tag manager tool and implementation of new site tags
  • Assist with website A/B testing as needed
  • Assist with monitoring analytics, site performance, customer feedback and site monitoring as needed to ensure site stability and opportunities
