Associate Media Buyer

The Associate Media Buyer will assist and support in all aspects media placement in your dynamic insert media channel.  Ensure media placements are secured, entered and executed in a timely and cost effective manner.   Closely manage and negotiate remnant placement opportunities.  Ensure order entry database in kept up to date with active orders, cancellations, key codes, shipping instructions and material dues dates.  Handle product clearances with outside managers/brokers.  Responsible for tracking and reporting of program status as well as financial resolution of media performance issues. Responsible for communicating to marketing and finance of updates related to monthly media expenses.  Liaison with production group to secure material delivery instructions as needed.  Invoice processing as required.

The support of this position is key to the media departments effective functioning, the candidate must be detail-oriented and well-organized.  They will at times need to answer questions on specific ad placements thus the ability to prioritize is essential because of the tight media deadlines and the shift they cause in priorities.  Due to these deadlines, this position must be able to react quickly to last minute requests.  Strong communication skills, written and verbal are essential.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 50% - Order entry of insert media orders, edits, modifications, cancelations
  • 20% - Communication with internal clients and outside media managers
  • 20% - Status reporting
  • 10% - Processing of invoices

 

 

Required Qualification- Education, Licensing, Certification, and Experience:

  • BA or BS in Marketing Communications, or similar area of education worked in either a marketing or advertising position previously for at least 1 year.

           
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
