Lead, Talent Acquisition Specialist - HR

The Talent Acquisition Lead will drive the development and day-to-day execution of the Talent Acquisition team by identifying and creating opportunities to work more effectively and efficiently with our internal clients while providing excellent service.  In partnership with the HR Leadership team, this role is key in delivering recruitment solutions and programs to attract the best and the brightest talent and meet the company expectations as it relates to our people strategy and growth. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead Talent Acquisition initiatives. This person will be responsible for leading our talent acquisition efforts for the organization as well as managing their own recruitment roles.  It is an internal and external facing role that is key to growing our talent brand and our candidate pool.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business and our competitors to ensure we’re attracting top talent based on business needs and priorities.
  • Responsible for the recruitment of a variety of exempt level positions, including Marketing and Product Development, as well as other primarily exempt positions.

  • Research and sourcing potential candidates through various Internet sites; college recruiting; encouraging employee referrals; and working with temporary to permanent agencies.

  • Management of open positions, including researching, sourcing, interviewing and selection of candidates; offers, reference checks; and following up with candidates that are not selected for employment, etc.

  • Work with/stay abreast of Internet sites and creative tools for research and sourcing (job boards, social networking sites, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) to maximize recruiting presence and exposure to potential candidates online, including passive candidates not actively seeking a new job. 

  • Continual contact with potential candidates regarding recruitment and regular contact with college placement offices to provide information concerning job postings and internships.
    Work closely with the coordination and communication of the annual schedule for college recruiting and represent the company on-campus. Explore and coordinate new campus opportunities to drive “brand awareness” such as job shadow programs, MBA internships, information sessions/nights, classroom visits, etc.

  • Assist with routine questions from employees regarding all other HR-related questions and/or direct them to specialists.  Provide regular/timely/proactive contact with hiring managers to provide information, updates, recommendations, and advice concerning potential candidates (e.g., salary levels, competitive marketplace information, retention strategies, etc.)

  • Build relationships with candidates who are recruited into the company to foster and assist with retention. they will be exposed to on a daily basis. This level of detail will help the candidate determine if the role and company are the right fit, helping you attract the best candidates for your position.

  • In partnership with the Director, Talent Acquisition and Engagement, design, develop and implement tools, processes and programs to support talent growth strategies for the enterprise.
  • Leverage analytical data to improve effectiveness of all Talent Acquisition programs, reporting successes.

  • Ensure appropriate tools and resources are implemented and optimized to deliver best in class talent services.

Required Education, Licensing, Certification, and Experience

  • Bachelor degree or combination of equivalent experience/training/education in a relevant field.
  • 6-8 years recruiting and proactive sourcing experience.
  • 2-4 years leading a recruitment team is preferred but not required
  • Skilled in MS Office, LinkedIn Recruiter, other social networking sites.
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload and meet demanding, shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Able to quickly develop strong, strategic and positive working relationships across all levels and functions.
  • High energy; self-motivated/driven.
  • Experienced using behavioral interview techniques and questions.
  • Ability to identify transferable skills during an interview.
  • High level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Excellent team player
