E-Commerce Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for an e-commerce specialist who will play a key role in the success of the online business of The Bradford Group. This person will join a Reporting, Insights, & Analytics Team within the e-commerce division and function as a Data Storyteller. He/She will be responsible for issuing sales reports, running the marketing channel attribution process, analyzing sales and expense trends, as well as analyzing a wide number of KPIs from our websites. In addition, this individual will gain exposure to multiple levels of management by providing ad-hoc analysis for upper-level management, marketers and merchandisers to help increase sales, ROI and website conversion. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibility

  • Issuing reports that detail the financial performance of the e-commerce division.

Other Responsibilities

  • Developing an  annual financial budget for the e-commerce division, as well as quarterly re-forecasts
  • Collaborating with online marketing managers and accounting department to allocate and reconcile advertising expenses
  • Participating in IT projects to drive improvements in reporting tools
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of the e-commerce division’s data environment(s)
  • Writing queries to answer complex business questions and macros to improve standard processes
  • Identifying and communicating insights on our digital attribution process
  • Performing ad-hoc data-analysis for upper-level management, marketing managers, and merchandisers
  • Creating reports, charts, and graphs on e-commerce performance for presentations to upper-level management
  • Troubleshooting existing tools and processes
  • Utilizing our digital reporting tools, like IBM Coremetrics, to analyze data to better understand consumer behavior on our websites and ultimately increase sales

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Statistics, or Mathematics
  • Up to 2 years of professional experience in related work
  • Strong skills in MS Excel
  • Quantitative and curious mindset
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • E-commerce experience
  • Professional experience as a business analyst
  • Experience with SQL, MS Access, or VBA
  • Experience with web analytics software or BI software
