Marketing Manager

Responsible for preparing and executing new client acquisition media plans to meet revenue and growth goals through effective planning, analyzing data, and implementing media campaigns. Directs all new client acquisition selections/segmentation, creative efforts, forecasting, and data analysis to create optimal plans for assigned print and digital medias. Identifies new opportunities to optimize growth initiatives, defines requirements, and follows through to implementation. Be very aware of the competitive market to identify and implement appropriate strategies to develop new programs and maximize existing ones. Responsible to meet yearly circulation, ROI, and sales goals defined through the budget.

Serve as marketing lead to develop and grow assigned product categories. Responsible for knowledge of category/affinity across all channels and communicate pertinent information on this area through developed reporting tools. Regularly update the team on program performance and potential opportunities. Aggressively participate in strategy sessions to give direction on program viability and appropriate market timing. Establish testing plans in regards to number of tests, testing channels, and optimal timing to ensure growth and overall improvement of affinity performance year over year. Work cross-functionally with Product Development, Creative Production, Online Team, and Marketing Services in the creation of products and campaigns within the affinity to maximize all sales and growth goals.

  • Function as an analytical resource to the organization including presentations, reports, and professional interaction with Senior Management.
  • Meet all individual goals as outlined and defined annually.
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Finance, Statistics or related field. Masters degree a plus.
  • 4-6 years progressive experience in responsibilities and decision making in catalog/direct/database marketing and execution
  • Direct marketing analysis and media planning from: a direct response marketing company, catalog, or publishing environment is preferred
  • Proven project management skills - must be able to manage multiple assignments and tasks and complete in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of internet marketing, experience with multi-channel marketing and search strategy preferred
  • Excellent aptitude for statistical/financial analysis is a must
  • Must be PC proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel
  • Basic understanding of SAS, SPSS, or other statistical software
  • Knowledge of an SQL based selection system helpful
  • Progressive experience relative to responsibilities and decision making
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
  • Exceptional attention to detail required
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to gain solid understanding of Bradford's business and develop knowledge of the manufacturing process to effectively manage ordering and inventory
