Business Data Analyst

The Bradford Group is looking for a Business Data Analyst  to turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. The Data Analyst will collect include requirements analysis and design, develop analysis and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements

This person will be responsible for accurately creating, maintaining and analyzing the various assigned projects and tasks using internal data and reporting systems for the organization. This position will work closely with various business teams and departments to ensure overall consistent metrics

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources using repeatable and automated methods.
  • Create and maintain data collection systems such as databases, data-marts and data warehouses.
  • Work directly with internal teams and business leaders to identify reporting /analytical requirements.
  • Present report mockup to key internal business stakeholders for validation, buy-in and approval; modify as required and deliver final product
  • Filter and “clean” data, and review computer reports to locate and correct problems
  • Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.
  • A degree of creativity and latitude is required for individual to suggest how to improve process and reporting tools
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Consistently provide input on how to improve internal efficiencies; grow knowledge and be aware of best practices and market trends

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the supply chain field or in a related area.
  • Expert level of Excel required with advanced knowledge of macros/ functions
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within supply chain and consumer products
  • Ability to rely on knowledge from previous roles to plan, create reporting
