Learning & Development Specialist

 Our Human Resources Team is searching for a Talent Acquisition & Engagement Specialist.  The Talent Acquisition & Engagement Specialist will focus on Talent Attraction & Engagement, Employee Relations & Learning & Development at Bradford/Hammacher.  Responsible for social, digital and employment brand strategy and sustainability for the talent acquisition team.  The position will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our employment brand strategy, as well as identifying innovative opportunities to connect and engage with future talent through interactive social strategies & technology that our team can leverage. Additionally, will partner with HR team to identify talent groups with high turnover and create/implement strategies to improve employee engagement. Will influence and partner with key stakeholders across multiple functions such as Marketing, HR and IT to design and implement key attraction, engagement & retention strategies, measuring success and ROI along the way. Additional responsibility for assisting with annual training programs, along with assisting in the design and development of e-learning initiatives. 

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

 

Employee Engagement & Retention:

  • Identify and develop employee engagement initiatives such as groups, internal networking and lunch and learn opportunities to attract and retain employees.
  • Development of strategies, and actionable initiatives to support growth and development.
  • Participates in ongoing analysis of key data identifying trends in employee turnover to identify high risk groups.
  • Partner with Director of Talent Acquisition & Engagement to implement strategies for increased employee engagement.
  • Develop employee recognition strategies to include reviewing, evaluating and making recommendations for departmental recognition programs.

Training:

  • Responsible for scheduling of employee training, including room booking, technology and food orders.
  • Assist in facilitation of annual company sponsored employee training programs.
  • Manage tracking of employee LMS.
  • Assist in design and development of e-learning opportunities for company learning and development initiatives.
  • Assist in design and development of “refresher” e-learning opportunities that provide a recap of annual training initiatives from past years.

Recruitment:

  • Support the recruitment team by taking on searches, as needed. 
  • Support the recruitment team with administrative and special projects, as needed. 
  • Collaborate with HR team to onboard new employees. 
  • Maintain our Social Media Recruitment presence, including various social media avenues such as Youtube, Google Hangouts, Twitter, Facebook.

 

Required Education, Licensing, Certification, and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree or combination of equivalent experience/training/education in a relevant field.
  • 2-5 years recruiting and proactive sourcing experience.
  • 2-5 years learning development and facilitation experience.
  • 2-5 years Corporate Employee Relations experience.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Skilled in MS Office, LinkedIn Recruiter, other social networking sites.
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload and meet demanding, shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Able to quickly develop strong, strategic and positive working relationships across all levels and functions.
  • High level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • A strong facilitation presence with agility to think on feet. 
  • Experience in talent acquisition focused on social media
  • Skilled in employee feedback and engagement initiatives.
